"Following the release of our nativity figurines in 2021 starting with May, Joseph, the Christ Child, and an Angel, the collection is now being extended. With their distinctive flat arms and flowing hair, the three Shepherds exude a charm all of their own and form a most engaging trio. They are accompanied by two Sheep produced by ring turning, a technique practiced only in the Erzgebirge and nowhere else in the world. Their thick woolly fleeces are made from fine wood shavings.
This now nine-part nativity scene, which will be further expanded in the coming years, ensures that the true spirit of Christmas is kept alive during the festive season.

Grete Wendt's design of 1910/11, before she even founded Wendt and Kühn, was way ahead of its time. Its straight lines and minimalist style are akin to the language of form we would have expected from the artists of the Bauhaus in 1919.
